Jesus: Lord or Legend, Christ or Caricature? A seminar with Dr. Paul Maier
At a time when the broadcast media, books like “The Da Vinci Code”, and our news magazines offer caricatures of Christ and the church that he founded, his genuine portrait becomes even clearer when the secular resources of ancient history and archaeology provide fascinating additional details to the biblical record. Dr. Paul Maier (Russell H. Seibert Professor of Ancient History at Western Michigan University) spoke at Grace Lutheran Church for 2 compelling hours from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2006. The seminar was free. The general public was invited, and members of the local LCMS churches provided some snacks and food.

On July 9, 2006 we ordained Mark Witte as Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church. A wonderful dinner followed.
